Alastair Bruce (35) – Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer

Alastair joined Sandbourne Asset Management in 2021, having spent 10 years with M&G Investment Management in London, most latterly as a fund manager within the Global Emerging Market equities team. His experience spans most publicly listed equity markets, choosing to invest using a fundamental value approach. Alastair graduated the University of Bath with a BSc in Economics and has passed all three levels of the CFA qualification.

David Bruce (64) – Chairman & Founder

David founded Sandbourne Asset Management in 1999, having departed Abbey Life Investment Services Ltd where he was Managing Director. During his time at Abbey Life, David was head of both the Japanese and UK equity desks. Over 25 years David has run a broad range of external strategies at Sandbourne, predominately focused on UK equities.

Matthew Vaight (49) – Strategic Adviser

Matthew retired from M&G Investment Management in 2019, after building-out the highly regarded Global Emerging Market equities business. Matthew worked closely with Alastair at M&G, providing invaluable mentorship and guidance, which he continues to now do at Sandbourne.
